Requisitions from other states, 1835-1949.

Demands for the return of fugitives issued by other states upon Illinois are provided. Entries on each requisition includes name and aliases of fugitive convicted of or charged with crime; crime description; state and county where crime was committed; legal instrument on which charge was based; messenger to whom fugitive was delivered; Governor and Secretary of State signatures from state demanding fugitive; and requisition date. Governor's endorsement issuing a warrant for fugitive surrender is written on requisition. Requisitions usually are accompanied by applications for requisition issuance from county prosecuting attorney to the Governor; certified copies of bills of indictment, affidavits, criminal complaints, warrants for arrest, and other documents that verify requisition applications. Requisitions for parole violators are usually accompnaied by certified copies of orders for parole, parole agreements, and orders for arrest.
